What is a pay application?
A pay application is how contractors bill on progress-billed jobs. Instead of a simple invoice, you show the full contract picture: what the contract is worth, what has been completed and stored to date, retainage held, what has already been paid, and what is due now. The classic format pairs a summary cover page with a continuation sheet that breaks the numbers down by schedule of values line.

Is this an official AIA G702/G703 form?
No. It follows the same math and structure contractors know from G702/G703 style billing, but it is our own format. If your contract requires official AIA documents, purchase them from AIA. This tool is for the many jobs where a G702/G703 style pay app is accepted.
Does it do the retainage math?
Yes. Retainage on completed work and stored materials, total earned less retainage, previous payments, current payment due, and balance to finish. You can even set a different retainage rate per line.
Can subcontractors use it?
Yes. Switch the application type to the subcontractor version and the parties and certifications relabel for billing your GC.
What about cost-plus jobs?
Switch the billing basis to cost-plus and the continuation sheet gains the estimated versus current value columns used on cost of the work projects.
