Users

Add your team and control what each person can see and do.

Updated October 15, 2026

Every person who signs in to Werx or the Field App is a user. Each user gets a number, a role and a badge color, and belongs to one group. Permissions decide which parts of Werx they can open.

  1. Click your avatar in the top right, choose Account Settings, then click Users.
  1. Click Add User in the top right.
  1. On User Details, enter the person's name, role, email and phone, pick a badge color, and choose a Group.
  2. On Permissions, choose what the user can see and do. On Labor Rates, enter their pay and burden so logged time is costed correctly.
  1. Click Save. The user receives an invitation email to set a password.

Permissions and labor rates

The Permissions tab has one switch per area of Werx, like estimates, projects, expenses and time. A time-only user gets the time switches only and does not take a full seat.

The Labor Rates tab is where you enter the person's pay and burden. Werx uses the burdened rate to cost their logged hours against projects. See Labor Rates.

Deactivate a user

Open the user, turn the Active toggle off and click Save. Their history stays on every project. Tick Show Inactive on the Users page to see them again.

Users FAQ

Does adding a user cost extra?

Full users count toward your plan's seats. Time-only users are priced separately. See the Subscription page in settings.

The user did not get the invitation email.

Open the user and click Save again to resend it, and ask them to check spam for mail from app@werxapp.com.

Can a user belong to two groups?

No. A user has one group. Use groups for crews or offices, not for permissions.
