Change order requests
Price the change and get it approved online.
Updated October 15, 2026
A change order request is your proposal to change the contract. It prices the extra work line by line and goes to the customer for approval in the portal. Once approved it can be added to the contract as a change order.
- Open the contract project, click Add in the top right and choose Add Change Order Request.
- Describe the change and price it line by line (pull in a signed EWA to start from its items). The total is what you are asking the customer to add to the contract.
- Click Save & Send. The customer approves or declines it from the portal; an approved COR is added to the contract as a change order.
- Open a saved request from the project's Changes tab to see its status, its lines and the change order it became once approved.
Change order requests FAQ
What does the customer see?
The request with its lines and total, your logo, and Approve and Decline buttons. Their decision and signature are recorded on the request.
Can I resubmit a declined request?
Yes. Edit the pricing or scope and send it again.
Does an approved COR change the contract by itself?
No. Add it to a change order so it reaches the schedule of values and the next pay application.
