Estimate terms templates
Write your terms once and reuse them on every estimate.
Updated October 15, 2026
Estimate terms are the fine print under your price: validity, payment schedule, exclusions and warranty. A template saves that text so you do not retype it. The default template is added to every new estimate.
- Click your avatar in the top right, choose Account Settings, then click Estimate Terms.
- Click Add Estimate Term, name the template, paste your terms, and click Save. Mark one template as the Default and it is added to every new estimate.
- You can change the terms on any individual estimate without affecting the template.
Estimate terms FAQ
Can I have more than one template?
Yes. Keep one per type of work, for example residential and commercial, and pick the right one on the estimate.
Does editing a template change estimates I already sent?
No. Each estimate keeps the text it was saved with.
Are these the same as payment terms?
No. Payment terms are the due-date rules like Net 30. See Payment Terms.
