Time and material items
Track the materials and services you will bill.

Items are the billable things on a T&M job besides hours: materials, equipment, subcontracted work and flat-fee services. Add them as you go and they are waiting for you when you invoice.
- Open the T&M project and click the Items tab.
- Click Add project item to add a billable item: pick it from your catalog or type it in, with quantity, unit and rate.
- Items you add here, plus logged time, are what you pull onto the project's T&M invoices.
T&M items FAQ
Do expenses show up as items?
No. Expenses and bills coded to the project are costs. Items are what you bill. Add an item for anything you want to charge the customer.
Can I mark up materials?
Yes. Set the rate you bill on the item. Markup on the invoice applies on top of that.
